The EMERALD™ 118 is a machine ideal for all types of sewing. It, has many practical features you will love; i.e. the built-in needle threader, a handy Sewing Guide Reference Chart, and an effortless one-step buttonhole.

The DESIGNER JADE™ 35 sewing and embroidery machine features unique and smart design aesthetics.

Husqvarna Amber S serger

The AMBER™ S | 100 overlock machine has 4, 3, 2 thread capability with 16 different stitches to help you complete any project. Both the left and right front covers open to provide complete access to the looper area, making it super easy to thread. The Differential Feed gives you perfectly even seams - no stretching or distortion on knits or puckering of finer fabrics, and it can also be used for gathering.

Welcome to our Sewing Studio in the Makerspace at the Trenton Branch!

Our Makerspace is equipped with three Husqvarna Emerald 118 sewing machines, 1 Husqvarna Jade 35 embroidery machine, and 1 Husqvarna Amber S serger, as well as cutting stations, an iron and ironing board, and a myriad of other tools you may need as you learn to sew.

Time in the sewing studio can be booked for $3/use for up to an hour. Contact us at makerspace@quintewest.ca to book your time.

Are you interested in learning how to sew but have never touched a sewing machine, or haven’t touched one in years? Libraries are spaces for life-long learning and skill development! The sewing studio is open on Tuesdays from 5-6:45 and Thursdays from 3:30-4:45; knowledgeable staff are available to help you learn the machine and guide you through your own, self-directed sewing projects.
